The New Additions to the Bookshelf

Now that I have finished Gabriel's Redemption by Sylvain Reynard it's time to put it up in the bookshelf with the rest of the read books. Of course reading doesn't end for me, the journey continues and I'm off to the next novel that I'm excited to tell you all about.

Blurb for Gabriel's Redemption:
Professor Gabriel Emerson has left his position at the University of Toronto to embark on a new life with his beloved Julianne. Together, he’s confident that they can face any challenge. And he’s eager to become a father.

But Julianne’s graduate program threatens Gabriel’s plans, as the pressures of being a student become all consuming. When she is given the honor of presenting an academic lecture at Oxford, Gabriel is forced to confront her about the subject of her presentation – research that conflicts with his own. And in Oxford, several individuals from their past appear, including an old nemesis intent on humiliating Julia and exposing one of Gabriel’s darkest secrets.

In an effort to confront his remaining demons, Gabriel begins a quest to discover more about his biological parents, beginning a chain of events that has startling repercussions for himself, Julianne, and his hope of having a family.

The list of books never ends here at the Dollhaus.

The next novel that I will be currently reading is The Token by Marata Eros. I'm truly excited to read this book for many reasons. The first reason is I had reviewed one of her previous book called A Terrible Love. It was a great read!! As for the other reasons are for the fact that her writing flows nicely and she is great at what she does.

Blurb for The Token:
Twenty-two year old Faren Mitchell hears the two words that change her abbreviated life forever. They're so final Faren decides she has nothing to lose by seizing every remaining moment of what life has to offer.

Until Faren collides with a motorcycle ridden by billionaire Jared McKenna.

Even the dark secret of her past and catharsis as a physical therapist can't save Faren from the sexual spiral that waits for her in the arms of a man who commits to no one. When circumstances force her to get a second job as an exotic dancer, Faren never imagines how close that choice will bring her to the brink of a new reality she is unequipped to handle.

The next book is directed to those who are Castle Fans. Over on twitter, my timeline feed was and still is filled with tweets and pictures of the television show Castle. Not having cable to be constantly updated on great new shows, I was oblivious to this one. Until I finally spoke to someone who is a huge fan of Castle. He told me to read the books and watch all the season. Intrigued by what my friend had mentioned to me, I headed to Barnes and Noble and bought myself the first book of the Nikki Heat Series. So after I have read and reviewed The Token, Richard Castle's Heat Wave will be next on the currently reading list.

Blurb for Heat Wave:
A New York real estate tycoon plunges to his death on a Manhattan sidewalk. A trophy wife with a past survives a narrow escape from a brazen attack. Mobsters and moguls with no shortage of reasons to kill trot out their alibis. And then, in the suffocating grip of a record heat wave, comes another shocking murder and a sharp turn in a tense journey into the dirty little secrets of the wealthy. Secrets that prove to be fatal. Secrets that lay hidden in the dark until one NYPD detective shines a light.

Mystery sensation Richard Castle, blockbuster author of the wildly best-selling Derrick Storm novels, introduces his newest character, NYPD Homicide Detective Nikki Heat. Tough, sexy, professional, Nikki Heat carries a passion for justice as she leads one of New York City's top homicide squads. She's hit with an unexpected challenge when the commissioner assigns superstar magazine journalist Jameson Rook to ride along with her to research an article on New York's Finest. PulitzerPrize-winning Rook is as much a handful as he is handsome. His wise-cracking and meddling aren't her only problems. As she works to unravel the secrets of the murdered real estate tycoon, she must also confront the spark between them. The one called heat.

As you can note, there is lots of activity here at the Dollhaus. There is always a new book being added to the bookshelf, like a true book addict.
